Building Community Luncheon: Taking Action with Our Time, Talent, and Treasure

Women are a key ingredient in community building through our volunteer leadership, volunteer time, and our voluntary contributions of dollars, both great and small. The purpose of this event is to illuminate the power of women in our communities, recognizing the work of women at all levels of community building. We want to inspire greater, deeper and more satisfying participation in our collective activities that ensure the communities of the Granite State thrive.
Keynote Speaker Linda Wertheimer is senior national correspondent for National Public Radio (NPR) News, bringing her unique insights and wealth of experience to bear on the day's top news stories. A respected leader in U.S. media and a beloved figure to listeners who have followed her three-decade-long NPR career, Wertheimer provides clear-eyed analysis and thoughtful reporting on all NPR News programs. She joined NPR at the network's inception, and served as All Things Considered's first director starting with its debut on May 3, 1971. In the more than 30 year since, she has served NPR in a variety of roles including reporter and host. Click here to read her biography at the NPR website.
